Too Much Mascara Causes Genoa Tears
By: Chris | September 1st, 2008A second-half tally by Giuseppe Mascara powered the Rossoblu to a narrow 1-0 win over the visitors from Genoa. After a disallowed goal off the head of Silvestri against the flow of play, Genoa took the play to Catania, only to have their efforts spoiled by Mascara. Lots of creative play by Catania’s new-look midfield contributed to the goal.
Next up, a big test against Inter in Milan in 2 weeks.
And now, some random cell-phone video of the final minutes of the game. Gripping stuff.

Catania played a superb match - very organized, disciplined and efficient. Textbook Football. Take care and good luck against Inter.
