Paolucci Lifts the Elephants
By: Chris | August 24th, 2008Did I say Catania were looking for a striker? Juve/Udinese loaner and super-sub Michele Paolucci came off the bench to score both goals, as Catania downed newly-relegated Parma 2-1 in the Coppa Italia.
Making it look easy, Paolucci lofted a pass from Mariano Izco over the head of sleeping Parma goalie Nicola Pavarini in extra time. We’ll see if he gets the start for the Serie A opener next weekend at home against Genoa.
