Juan Pablo Carrizo

Catania needed a goal keeper and now have loaned if I am not mistaken, Juan Pablo Carrizo from Lazio. He looks like an okay keeper. I don’t know too much bout him but what I do know is that he is from Villa Constitución, Argentina. Well, most players on Catania are from Argentina so I was not suprise to see one join the team. I watched him on Youtube to see what I can find out about him and if he looks good or not when I found videos on him. I only saw how much he likes to hold on to the ball.

If we play Andrea Campagnolo as keeper, we will be going to Serie B next season, so we had to get a keeper and if he likes to do all these diffrent things so be it but he better make sure he can save the damn ball. He is not my first choice of keeper in Serie A but what can you do.

Marco Motta

For sure the best of all the players we got from the transfer window, we need a right back to use the wing and push forward. He is young at 25 and for sure has talent, it is up to him if he wants to show it. I am very happy to see him come on loan, I have liked this player for some time now. A couple years back, this young man was our under 21, Captain of Italy. He can be a great player, but for sure his form has dropped with Juventus. I always like seeing Italian players coming to Catania and see one who is still young and hopefully can turn his career back on track with Catania. I do think he will fit in fine with the club and I am very happy to say welcome Marco Motta to Catania.

Osariemen Ebagua

Osarimen Giulio Ebagua: As we let Maxi Lopez go on loan to AC Milan, we picked up another forward. For sure not a top forward but lets see what this Serie B forward can do in the big league. The 25 year old Nigerian footballer will have to prove himself he wants to see any playing time with the club. He was with Torino and was likely not getting any play time so found a new home. I really hope he can bring something to Catania attackers as we are lacking in that department. Lets hope he can become the next big thing in Catania.

Players OUT:

Pablo Sebastian Alvarez to Real Zaragoza; He played okay in his time in Catania, he was never great and never consistent but we thank you for everything you do for the club, playing 5 seasons with Catania and a total of 57 games with 2 assists, 2 red cards and 12 yellows.

Gaston Maxi Lopez to AC Milan; He leaves Catania on loan, what will haapen with him I don’t know but I do know that he has played great with Catania and was for sure always a top player for us. We will for sure have a hard time looking for the right replacement if you leave after your loan. He has 25 goals in 59 Games, came to Catania and had a break out season, making heads turn. Now it time for a big club.

Gennaro Delvecchio to Lecce; He is an older man and has played a great career, best of luck Mr.Delvecchio

Catania play tomorrow against Siena and I do think Vincenzo Montellas job in on the line with a bad result at home with 1-1 tie with Parma. And now we are off to Siena to try to fix our shitty away record, 1 away win all season. Catania will most likely have new players in the line up but we will see.

    Excellent recap.

Yes needed a new goalie. That goal v. Parma should have been saved!

You really think its a hot seat? Team’s place in the table isn’t terrible and very close to being much higher.

Thanks Drake, Your like the only person who reads my blog lol.

Yea Andrea Campagnolo is not a good keeper, Catania management think just because he has played in so many games he is good but thats not how it works in football.Juan Pablo Carrizo better be good.

Its hard to say, Catania are not doing good away from home and if we keep playing Andrea Campagnolo then I can only see bad things happening but if Juan Pablo Carrizo is good then we should have a good year.
