Catania Beat Genoa 3-2
By: vincenzo | September 8th, 2012
Rolando Maran said before the game that Catania would win for the fans and what a risky move that was. But damn the man was right and is starting to look like Sergio Gasparin made the right pick in Rolando Maran and knows what he is doing. Looks like I was wrong about that both. So Lets get in too the game.
Catania put pressure early on winning corner in the 4 and 5 min but not being able to score. But in the 19th min Pablo Barrientos had a great chance to score but his shot missed wide. Catania pushed closer for a goal but Alejandro Gómez, Francesco Lodi,Sergio Almirón missed there chances. After Sergio Almirón missed his chance, genoa socred a min later when Ciro Immobile gave a great pass to Juraj Kucka who kick the ball in to the open net. After that goal Catania pushed and pushed but would come up with nothing in the first half.
But at half time Rolando Maran most of said something to get his guys going because

in the 66min Catania forward Gonzalo Bergessio would tie the game up at 1-1 after a great pass by Lucas Castro. 2mins later Gonzalo Bergessio would socre again off the corner with an open header on goal.
But in the 82min Bosko Jankovic took a wonderfull shot from out side the box and put in right in to the net with no chance for Mariano Andújar. But when you think its all over and we would see Catania tie another game…. Francesco Lodi gets a free kick 2 mins from the tieing goal and give Catania the lead and it ends up being the winning goal.
Great game can’t wait for the next.

maybe a quick trip to edinburgh? you can do it ohivnegrt it’s a five hour train trip, but only an hour on a plane you could fly up really early one morning and back late the next day or something. edinburgh is probably my fave city in the world other than my own, I love it there, so I think it’d be worth it!Brighton is nice, too.. and Cornwall (and both are closer than edinburgh! hehe)
