Another day, another meaningless win

By: Chris | August 14th, 2008

Gli Elefanti continued their romp over second-tier Euroeean sides with a 5-0 win against Ligue 2 Bastia on Wednesday (Martinez, Antenucci, Plasmati, Izco[2]). Good play from Ledesma, who set up fellow Argentine Izco’s two goals to wrap up the game. Apparently, the match was called with 3 minutes to play; either honest clock mismanagement, or the officials were euthanising poor Bastia.

Dică got the day off, as did Carboni and Bizzarri.

Next up, Coppa Italia on 23 August.
